Start your day at 09:00 AM with a visit to Split’s lively Green and Fish Markets. Together with a renowned local chef, who will meet you at the Green Market, you will explore the colorful stalls and select the freshest local ingredients for your meal. From there, you will head to a unique cooking class where the authentic flavors of Dalmatia come to life.
In this hands-on experience, you will prepare a delicious 5-course lunch together with the chef. Under expert guidance, you will create traditional Dalmatian dishes such as homemade bread, carpaccio, risotto, gregada (fish stew), and fresh homemade pasta. The menu usually focuses on fresh Adriatic fish, shellfish, and shrimp, accompanied by local vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
The chef can also adapt the menu to your preferences, offering alternative fish dishes or including meat options if desired. During the class you will learn about local cooking techniques, seasonal ingredients, and the rich culinary traditions of Dalmatia.
To complete the experience, you will prepare a traditional Dalmatian dessert before sitting down to enjoy the lunch you have created together, accompanied by Croatian wines. You will also receive the recipes so you can recreate these dishes at home.
